The process of rehabilitating the building that we proposed at Angulo arquitectura was a complex task that combined the conservation of the valuable historical heritage with adaptation to contemporary needs. From the beginning of the project, the challenge was to reinterpret the original spaces of the convent, respecting its architectural legacy and, at the same time, adapting them for new uses. This approach allowed the building to be transformed into a unique space that preserves the essence of the past while projecting itself into the future.

One of the highlights of the refurbishment is the emphasis on the gastronomic use of the space, which resulted in the creation of a restaurant that has become a benchmark in Bizkaia. This strategic decision places the culinary experience at the heart of the project, leaving the hotel activity in the background. The restaurant not only respects the legacy of the building, but also celebrates the cultural and gastronomic richness of the region.

The interior design reflects a perfect balance between tradition and modernity. The original elements of the convent, such as stone walls and historical architectural details, are carefully integrated with contemporary finishes and functional solutions to ensure the comfort of visitors. The communal spaces are designed to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while the rooms offer an exclusive and tranquil experience, ideal for escaping the urban bustle.
